ROLLER COASTER

My memory’s a roller coaster
And my mind is no fan
Highs and lows are all I know
It’s black or white, here where I stand
There’s no color
There’s no sun in the sky
There’s no freedom
If you never learned to fly
I can’t wrap my brain around it
Who would be so insane?
You know I love you so much
But I won’t give you a reason to stay
There’s no color
There’s no sun in the sky
There’s no freedom
If you never learned to fly
Words you let escape
Cover me with relief
Oh I want to believe
But my armor’s tough 
These walls I’ve built up
So they’ll ricochet
There’s no color
There’s no sun in the sky
